Installing XenApp throws Error 1603 and breaks the installation midway.
The Citrix website points to http://support.citrix.com/article/CTX132117 but I strongly suggest check for the following before doing that.
If you are installing XenApp 6.5 on Windows 2008 Server R2, please ensure that the following services are turned on.
- RPC
- Baseline Filtering
- COM related Services
- Baseline Filtering Service
- IPSec related services
- Print Spooler Service.
If you are installing XenApp 5.0 on Windows Server 2003 SP2, please ensure that the following services are turned on.
- RPC (Remote Procedure Calls)
- Server
- Workstation
- Windows Management Instrumentation Driver Extensions
- IPSec related
- Print Spooler service
- COM related services
